ARIANE WICKS - Sydney Office Coordinator

Ariane has recently completed a Bachelor of Business/Arts Administration (Contemporary Music Studies) at Macquarie University, Sydney, and has over four years experience in arts administration, event management and co-ordination, and marketing and publicity for music, arts, training and community organisations. Having co-ordinated marketing and publicity for many artists and touring groups, her networking experience in dealing with the media, government representatives and artists is extensive, and drawn from many fields within the arts.

Experience - Australia

Ariane has worked as Administrator and Director for the Sydney-based Australian Institute of Eastern Music, assistant Administrator/assistant Director for Centrehouse Community Arts and Cultural Centre, and the Erin Hill Art Gallery. In addition, Ariane’s passion for her work has seen her regularly involved in a voluntary capacity across a broad range of community and government organisations, often developing ongoing associations. She has been an enthusiastic volunteer for the Sydney Arts Festival (1997-2001), Carnivale Global Arts Festival (1999–2003), Bellingen Global Music Carnival (1999-2002), Metro Screen INC (2000-2001), Tropfest (2000-2001), Marrickville City Council - Arts and Cultural Department (2000-2001) and other community organisations.

Ariane’s roles have included assistant event manager, office administrator, database maintenance, website maintenance and design, financial management, submission preparation, marketing/publicity/media relations (local and national print/radio/TV media) and public relations. Ariane also developed strong training and co-ordination skills in team volunteer environments, as well as invaluable liaison with industry professionals. Her ‘hands on’ festival and events management experience has also involved crowd control, volunteer co-ordination and audio and stage production. Ariane has a acquired a broad skill base from which to further her professional development in the field of multicultural arts.

Ariane’s role in Marketing and Communications for PAN Event Entertainment is an excellent opportunity for PAN to further raise our marketing and public relations profile in the field of multicultural performance. Her extensive and broad range of skills are directly applicable to this role.
